October 14th Life share bloodmobile will be at ALPL from 5pm-8pm. This is an ALECPTA meeting night! Be sure to come early to donate blood. Each member who donates will receive a $3 voucher for an outing and members can win an awesome prize basket filled with Thirty-one, wine and other fun items by getting friends and family to donate. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo invites you to ride your bike inside the Zoo! Cyclists of all ages will have the chance to cruise through Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on their bikes on Friday, August 16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Wild Ride at the Zoo happens after the park closes to regular visitors so cyclists have the paths to themselves. Ride maps will point out bike routes around the Zoo for beginning, intermediate and experienced riders. Guests will see the Zoo on two wheels rather than two heels as they cruise by many of the outdoor animals on exhibit and have chances to meet the animal keepers.

Tickets for Wild Ride are $12 per person, with a $2 discount for Cleveland Zoo Society members. A signed release form will be required for each rider, and a helmet is strongly recommended. Advance sale tickets are available online at clemetzoo.com along with printable release forms. Riders under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign and deliver the waiver to be admitted.

Avon Lake Early Childhood PTA, ALECPTA, will be hosting its annual Kids Closet resale event on October 5, 2013 at Avon Lake High School, 175 Avon Beldon Road.  One of the largest resale events in the area, the ALECPTA Kids Closet offers the opportunity to buy and sell gently used clothes, toys, and other items.
